The Journal of the Wandering Engineer

Summary of Updates September

A lot happened in September.

  • EREfest. Twenty ERE people gathered here at Quail Haven for a long weekend. We shared meals, talked, made music, and gave workshops. It went off a huge success and I’m already looking forward to next year.

  • Quadalupe, my Dutch friend from the forum and a member of my mastermind group, stayed with me for a month.

  • We built a sorely needed shade structure out of salvaged solar equipment.

  • We went on a climbing trip up the eastern Sierras, culminating with an ascent of Cathedral Peak in Tuolumne which was Quadalupe’s first day in Yosemite.

  • We then spent a couple days in the Valley with my bffs Ashley and Dave hiking Vernal Falls, doing the El Cap Lieback, and discovering beautiful gems of campsites all to ourselves deep in the fire-scarred hills.

We woke at 0415 to be the first on the wall.

The view from the summit of Cathedral.

Quadalupe’s first day in Yosemite. Not bad.

I’ve camped at this spot outside Bishop dozens of times and the sunsets still knock my socks off.

Interesting

Zero ideas.
